Prominent Presidential Descendants with a direct lineage to one or more of the 46 U.S. Presidents will share stories and historical perspectives on how their relatives Political Maneuvering: The Powerful Influence of the Presidency. Moderated by Dr. Kurt Graham, Director of the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri. This year we are proud to welcome presidential descendants, Clifton Truman Daniel, grandson of Harry S. Truman, the 33rd U.S. President; Massee McKinley, great-great grandson of 22nd and 24th U.S. President Grover Cleveland; Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of 34th U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower; Patricia Taft, great-granddaughter of 27TH U.S. President William H. Taft; James Carter, grandson of 39th U.S. President Jimmy Carter; and Ulysses Grant Dietz, great-grandson of 18th U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant. Winners of the 2nd Annual Harry S. Truman Foundation and The Society of Presidential Descendants Student Essay Competition will be announced following the forum.
