Historic Seaport Sail: The Work of the Key West Wildlife Center with Peggy Coontz

On Friday, April 14, 2023 launching at 9:00 a.m., Key West Wildlife Center Animal Care Director Peggy Coontz will lead the next in a series of monthly historically informative two-hour seafaring excurions presented by Key West Art & Historical Society in partnership with S/V Argo Navis. Passengers aboard the luxury catamaran Argo Navis can enjoy bloody marys, mimosas, or non-alcoholic beverages and light breakfast fare while Coontz discusses the work of the Key West Wildlife Center.

The Center provides rescue and rehabilitative care to over 1,400 birds annually. They also provide rescue services to sea turtles, tortoises, as well as marine and land mammals. They provide 24-hour emergency rescue services for wildlife in Key West and the Lower Keys with a focus on rescuing, rehabilitating, and returning avian patients to the wild.
