The Florida Keys Council of the Arts is proud to present 'Seeing' – an exhibition of contemporary art by Ruth Gilmore Langs and Scott Jeffries. On Thursday, February 9th, the historic Gato Building will open its doors for the opening reception from 5-7 pm, sponsored by Ocean Sotheby's Realty International.
Ruth Gilmore Langs is an abstract painter from Islamorada, Florida. Her art is a form of communication – an expression of the human spirit, with brushstrokes, color, and energy. Scott Jeffries’ paintings are an irreverent expression of his subconscious, a place where space and form are imagined in a new way. His work is a blend of abstraction, comedy, and earnestness.
This exciting exhibition is the perfect opportunity to explore the work of two talented artists. Refreshments will be served, and there will be an artist meet-and-greet. Visitors should not miss the chance to view this beautiful collection.
