Cliff Cody was born and raised in Texas, and was first exposed to country music at a young age. He got his start in music while working as a bouncer at a honky tonk. After performing a karaoke song, he caught the attention of a local country group who offered him a job on the spot. After only two weeks of learning guitar and writing his first song, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music.
Cliff Cody has had a successful music career, having signed a publishing contract with EMI/Sony and having his songs recorded by notable artists like Josh Thompson, Halfway to Hazard, and Julie Roberts. He also gained some national exposure by appearing as a contestant on the television series Rising Star.
In 2014, Cody released his first album, Homegrown, and has been touring the country ever since, sharing stages with distinguished acts like Dwight Yoakam, Blackberry Smoke, and Justin Moore. His hard work and dedication paid off in 2019 with the release of his second album, A Mess Like Me, which charted at number 26 on the Top Independent Albums list.
